Gas logs
Gas logs turn the fireplace you already have into a fire you start with a switch.
Gas logs go into the fireplace you already own. No demolition, no new appliance: a burner, a log set and a gas line. If your fireplace is sound and your chimney draws, this can be done in an afternoon.
The flames will not change the way wood flames do, so the fire becomes background rather than a focal point. That is fine, because the flames are beautiful, the heat is instant, and there is nothing to carry in or clean out.

Which one fits your room?
Send the room size and what is there now. We will come back with two or three that suit it, and the price to put one in.
What the differences actually mean
Vented
Burns with the damper open and gives you the tallest, most realistic flame. Most of the heat goes up the chimney, so treat these as ambiance rather than a heat source. Handcrafted sets are worth the money here. The difference between a good log set and a cheap one is visible from across the room.
Vent-free
Burns with the damper closed and puts nearly all of its heat into the room. Output is regulated and there are room size and code rules that apply. We will check the room before we sell you one.
The gas line
If there is no gas at the fireplace yet, we run it. Same crew, same visit as the log set wherever the layout allows.
While we are in there
A fireplace getting gas logs is usually a fireplace that could use a set of glass doors as well. Doors stop the draft when the fire is out, which is most of the year.
We sell it, install it, and come back.
One crew runs the Class A chimney, the relining, the gas line and the appliance itself, with 50 years of combined experience. When it needs a gasket in year seven, you call the same shop.
